During the period of June 16–20, 2025, representatives of Scanweld AS – Construction Director Elmo Riig and Welding Coordinator-Engineer Konstantin Manžurets – participated in the international welding fair BEIJING ESSEN WELDING & CUTTING. The visit to the fair was organized by the Estonian Welding Society (MTÜ Eesti Keevitusühing, EKÜ).

It was an extensive and technologically very diverse fair, dominated by Asian, especially Chinese, manufacturers, although a few European companies were also represented. Special emphasis was placed on laser welding, robotics, digitalization, and process automation. The fields of welding equipment and accessories, tools, and personal protective equipment were also widely represented.

From the perspective of Scanweld AS, as a company focused on pipe, metal, and equipment installation, the visit to the fair was meaningful and productive. We gained several ideas for optimizing procedures, became acquainted with new technological solutions, and established useful contacts for future cooperation. In addition to the fair experience itself, a valuable part of the trip was the professional and motivating company of fellow participants, with whom knowledge was shared and professional issues were discussed.
